One month after marrying Dennis (July of 1977) she experienced a near death
experience. After finishing her run at a rodeo in Helena, Mont., another
horse stepped out in front of her horse causing her horse to flip over
throwing her to the round where she sustained a bruise on her brain. She was
transported by helicopter to the hospital but not before the plane stalled
over the mountains of Montana. She was in a coma for four days and paralyzed
on her right side. She didn't ride again until May of 1978 … She works as a
receptionist at a Billings truck center when not competing … Horses are Ali
(9-years old) and Ace (8-years old) and she raised both of them.
